History of the Society
The Norwich Medico-Chirurgical Society is nearly 160 years old and is one of the oldest medical societies still in existence, with origins going back to the early days of the N&N hospital in the 18th century.
Meetings
Meetings are usually held every couple of months and range from local experts to nationally renowned figures in medical or related topics. The meetings are open to everyone – you don’t have to be a member or doctor. We also welcome students and retired colleagues.
The Council
Sir Peter Eade was our first President and many more have followed in his footsteps. Our current council membership is detailed on this website.
