Norwich Medico-Chirurgical Society

Next Meeting

After a long pause in our activities we returned in March and April with two special events specifically for Medical Students discussing medical careers and research opportunities. This was followed by our Carlile research Prize and a talk by Diego Olivari from ED. We’ll have a summer break but be ready for our next talk…

Our next meeting is with guest speaker Professor Amanda Howe: General Practice in the 21st Century – Looking to the future, learning from the past.

Tuesday September 15th

All events will be in the Gooch Lecture theatre Level 1 NNUH and start at 6pm with refreshments followed by talks from 6.30pm.

Amanda Howe

Was the first Professor of Primary Care at Norwich Medical School, a Past President of the Royal College of GPs and the World Organisation of Family Doctors, as well as a GP for 40 years.

She will discuss the evidence for the role of general practice in our health system, the challenges we currently all face in the NHS, and look to some potential solutions.
